Cleaning & Warranty
Cleaning:
The OrthoMark® arm is best cleaned with the following cleaning agents: Acetone, Alcohol, Ethyl, Detergents, Lacquer solvents, Sodium Hydroxide or simple soap and water. The individual bases are best cleaned with simple soap and water or a damp cloth or paper towel. Be careful not to get liquids in the vacuum port on the OM-1010.
Warranty:
OrthoMark® carries a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
That being said, over the lifetime of OrthoMark® – over 22 years and thousands of sales – we have had only 16 product issues. Two were due to an abraded OM-1003 suction cup (manufacturing defect not caught in QC), eight were due to attempted removal or an abruptly bumping the OM-1009 without fully releasing the vaccuum lever and breaking the lock button retainer, one was due to a drop which broke an OM-1010 plunger, four were due to a perfect drop that resulted in a disconnected arm which, repaired by “popping” it back on, and one suffered from a drop that broke the OM-1001 acrylic base.
Environmental:
Since producing our very first unit we have attempted to provide the most environment friendly product possible while keeping costs down.
Instead of designing custom boxes with printed imagery and tapes, we chose a simple corrugated cardboard box with minimal “stickering” in an effort to make our packaging more easily recyclable. Our internal packaging is 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
Each unit is designed to last many years, and most of each is recyclable, though there are varying degrees of difficulty due to the nature of each individual product.
