Cleaning, Warranty, & Returns
Cleaning:
The OrthoMark® arm is best cleaned with the following cleaning agents: Acetone, Alcohol, Ethyl, Detergents, Lacquer solvents, Sodium Hydroxide or simple soap and water. The individual bases are best cleaned with simple soap and water. Do not use alcohol products on the acrylic base as the edges are flame polished.
Warranty:
OrthoMark® carries a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
That being said, over the lifetime of OrthoMark® – over 20 years and thousands of sales – we have had only 16 product failures. Two were due to an abraded suction cup (manufacturing defect not caught, OM-1003), eight were due to attempted removal or hitting the unit which breaks the lock button retainer (OM-1009), one was due to a drop which broke a plunger (OM-1010), four were due to a perfect drop that resulted in a disconnected arm (Om-1001, OM-1003, OM-1004), and one suffered from a drop that broke the acrylic base (OM-1001).
Returns:
We offer returns with a 25% restocking fee on unopened product within 30 days of delivery. Please notify us immediately if your OrthoMark product arrives damaged and it will be replaced free of charge.
Environmental:
Since producing our very first unit we have attempted to provide the most environment friendly product possible while keeping costs down.
Instead of designing custom boxes with printed imagery and tapes, we chose a simple corrugated cardboard box with minimal “stickering” in an effort to make our packaging more easily recyclable. Our internal packaging is 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
Each unit is designed to last many years, and most of each is recyclable, though the nature of each individual product has a different layer of difficulty In doing so.
